BREAKING: Paul Pogba bags four year ban after failing anti-doping test

Reports in Italy indicate that Paul Pogba has been given a four-year ban due to a failed drug test.

The Italian outlet Repubblica Sport has stated that Pogba was found guilty of doping violations.

The 30-year-old was temporarily suspended in September 2023 after testing positive for DHEA, a substance that can boost testosterone levels and improve athletic endurance.

In October 2023, his B sample also confirmed the presence of banned substances.

According to the report, “the prosecution did not believe the defense’s version of accidental intake of the substance. Key point for Pogba’s lawyers, who had rejected the plea deal.”

Paul Pogba, who was on the bench for Juventus in a match against Udinese in August, could potentially face the end of his career as he approaches his 31st birthday next month.

After a disappointing return to Manchester United, he rejoined Juventus in 2022 following a record-breaking transfer back in 2016.
