Awka- The atmosphere was filled with joy, enthusiasm, brotherhood, and determination as youth leaders from all 326 wards in Anambra State gathered in Awka to strategize on ousting the APGA-led government. The APC Youths in Anambra State Led by Hon Jideofor Ejimofor, the APC youths unanimously agreed to ensure the incumbent governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, and APGA vacate the Government House in 2025.
The Youth Special Conference cum Award-Giving Ceremony took place at Don Ritz Hotels, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka, with party chieftains from within and outside Anambra State in attendance. They echoed a united voice, affirming that 2025 marks the end of APGA’s reign in Anambra State.
In his welcome address, the State Youth Leader, Comrade Jideofor Ejimofor, expressed gratitude to party stakeholders for making the conference possible. He emphasized the need for sincerity and dedication within the APC ranks, stating that electoral losses reflect on the youth wing’s effectiveness, which must be addressed from the grassroots level.
Ejimofor emphasized the importance of strategic planning and unity among youths, stressing the party’s goal to dismantle APGA’s hold on power and install an APC government in Anambra State by 2025. He urged youth mobilization down to the polling unit level, setting a target of achieving substantial votes in each electoral ward.
Hon Jideofor opined that There is no better time for us to start talking to ourselves, device strategic action plans and build trust and capacity than now. We cannot continue to be noise makers every election year, we must define our set goals which for me at the moment is to dismantle the organogram of lies, deceit and ineptitude called APGA government from Agu-Awka Government House, and install an APC government in Anambra State. Anambra State is too important in socio-political and economic life of Nigeria to be in opposition and we must put it to a stop come 2025.This conference is aimed at reviving the engine house of the party mobilization (the youth) in every polling unit across the state.If the youth wing of APC can live up to expectation to effectively mobilize for APC, there is no way we cannot get up to two thousand votes in each electoral ward of the state in every election. This is our target, it is achievable because impossible is nothing and to the man who believes, everything is possible (Cf Mark 9:23).
Governorship aspirant Chief Sir Paul Chukwuma, recognized as one of the major Pillars of APC in Anambra State, pledged support to the youths, donating a bus for their mobility.
The State Chairman Chief Basil Ejidike, who was also bestowed with exemplary leadership award, said the essence of gathering the youths was to encourage them and to tell them also that they have what it takes to take over Anambra State in 2025.
The State Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike assured the youths and leaders present at the program of credible primaries to select the party’s governorship candidate of 2025, emphasizing transparency and support for the chosen candidate.
Prominent party member and grand commander of the youths, Chief Johnbosco Onunkwo reiterated APC’s commitment to presenting a candidate acceptable to the people, emphasizing the need for a free and fair election in 2025.
The Guest Speaker, High Chief Chibuzor Obiakor highlighted the importance of connecting Anambra State with to the center for the state’s benefit.
Comrade Paschal Candle of the Southeast APC Young Progressives Forum emphasized unity and party interest, aiming to educate youths on forming a formidable front to capture Anambra State in the upcoming election.
The event saw awards presented to distinguished personalities and youth activists for their contributions to the party’s growth and defense.
Highpoints of the occasion were awards given to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State as The Face and Pillar of APC in South East. These personalities were given certificates and award of Recognition as Pillar and Face of APC in Anambra State, they include the Deputy National Organizing Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru, The State party chairman in Anambra, Chief Basil Ejidike, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Senator Dr Uche Ekwunife, Dr Mrs Chioma Ejikeme, Chief Dr George Moghalu, Chief Sir Azuka Okwuosa, High Chief Johnbosco Onunkwo, Chief Dr Kodilichukwu Okelekwe (Ubom Nibo), DG SON, Chief Olisaemeka Onyeka (Odu Ogidi), Hon Izuchukwu Okeke, Hon Austin Muomaife, Hon Engr Ifeanyi Osegbo, Hon Engr Chidi Orji, and other distinguished personalities.
Many APC Youths were also recognized and certificates given to them for their outstanding roles in promoting and Defending the Party in many Platforms. These Youths include, Comrade Paschal Candle, Comrade Chekwube Ezealor, Comrade Obinna Okoyeocha, Comrade Lotanna,Comrade Chidi Orjika, Comrade Ifeanyi Obi and many other Young progressives.
The presence of APC youth leaders from Imo State and Abia State demonstrated solidarity with Anambra’s APC youths, highlighting a unified regional effort toward electoral success.
